Today we will cross the mighty Mississippi River into the Natural State of Arkansas, to visit Johnny Cash’s birth place in Dyess. Leaving Memphis behind, our next stop en route to Texas will be Little Rock, the State Capital of Arkansas. Following lunch we continue our travels into the Lone Star State, where our destination is Dallas! After settling in and freshening up, an evening in Deep Ellum’s Entertainment District awaits.

It’s time to explore Dallas. This modern metropolis in north Texas is the commercial and cultural hub of the region. We will visit the Texas Civil War Museum and have a driving tour of the area before some free time in downtown Dallas!

After Breakfast we will visit Downtown’s Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, which commemorates the site of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, before travelling to the home of TV’s Ewing Family – Southfork Ranch. This evening, we will visit the worlds biggest Honkytonk – Billy Bob’s Texas!

On our final day in Austin, you will have plenty of time to visit the local attractions at leisure, before enjoying the music scene and great atmosphere you’ll find down on 6th!

Today we will travel to San Antonio and visit the Alamo, where 200 defenders – including the famed frontiersman Davy Crockett—held out for 13 days before the Mexican forces finally overpowered them. For Texans, the Battle of the Alamo became an enduring symbol of their struggle for independence. We will continue our day by spending some time on San Antonio’s River Walk followed by free time to enjoy this wonderful city.
